Architecture, security, and the day-to-day operation of live systems. Every client system runs on what this team designs, and this team is on the line when it does not.
The work
- Design and run the infrastructure client systems live on: compute, networking, storage, backups and the paths between them.
- Build the deployment pipelines and the observability that let a two week release be boring.
- Own security in practice: access, secrets, patching, hardening, and the evidence a client's audit asks for.
- Respond to incidents, find the cause, and change the system so the same one does not recur.
What we look for
- Experience operating production systems, not only provisioning them.
- Depth in at least one cloud platform and in Linux, containers and infrastructure as code.
- A habit of writing runbooks and automating the second time you do something.
- Calm under an incident and honesty in the write-up afterwards.
