Internships
A paid placement of three to six months on live client work. A senior engineer supervises you, and you finish with a feature in production and a presentation to the team.
How your placement runs
Each stage builds on the last, so your scope and independence grow as the placement goes on.
- Stage 1
Onboarding
Set up your environment, meet the team and learn the codebase. You pair with your mentor every day.
- Stage 2
Your first contribution
Take a ticket from the current sprint and ship it to production. Your mentor reviews your pull requests and explains the system you are changing.
- Stage 3
A feature of your own
Own a feature end to end: design the approach, build it, test it and deploy it. This is the heart of the placement.
- Stage 4
Present your work
Show the team what you shipped. On a six month placement, you then take on a second feature with more independence.
What you get
Real client work
You work on live systems that paying clients use. No internal toy projects, demo builds or throwaway exercises.
Your own mentor
A senior engineer mentors you for the whole placement: daily in your first week, then weekly one-to-ones.
The same access as everyone
The same repositories, tools and channels as permanent engineers. You sit inside the team, not next to it.
A paid placement
Internships are paid, and we cover your transport to the Kuala Lumpur office on the days you come in.
Who can apply
- You are enrolled in a computer science, software engineering or related degree in Malaysia.
- You can join for at least three months. Six months is better.
- You have practical programming experience in at least one language, such as TypeScript or Python.
- You care about software that runs in production, not only about coursework.
