Who we are
idataraya is a Malaysian software company. We design, build and then operate the systems our clients run their organisations on, across payments, healthcare, retail, property and the public sector.
The engineers who design and build a system are the ones who keep it running afterwards. That is the shape of the whole company, and it is why the roles here look the way they do.
The team
Enterprise engineering. Discovery, architecture, delivery and run for the systems clients operate on.
About the role
You join a delivery team on a live engagement in your first month, sitting with someone senior rather than working through training exercises. The work is real and goes to a client.
What you will do
- Work on a live system with a named mentor from the first weeks.
- Take small pieces end to end, and grow the size of them.
- Have your code reviewed properly, and review others' once you are ready.
- See how a system behaves after go-live, which most graduate roles never show you.
What you will bring
- A degree in computing, or evidence you have taught yourself the equivalent.
- Something you have built that you can walk us through.
- Curiosity about why systems fail, not only how to make them work.
- Willingness to ask early rather than get stuck quietly.
What we offer
- Ownership of real systems from the first architecture session through to live operation, rather than a slice of someone else's design.
- Direct contact with the people using what you build, with no account layer in between.
- Work delivered in two to four week increments, demonstrated and accepted before the next one starts.
- More than twenty production engines underneath the client systems, so the same problem is rarely solved twice.
We consider every applicant on what they have built and how they work. Tell us about your experience in your own words, and we will come back to you either way.
