Who we are
idataraya is a Malaysian software company. We design, build and then operate the systems our clients run their organisations on, across payments, healthcare, retail, property and the public sector.
The engineers who design and build a system are the ones who keep it running afterwards. That is the shape of the whole company, and it is why the roles here look the way they do.
The team
Enterprise engineering. Discovery, architecture, delivery and run for the systems clients operate on.
About the role
You lead the interface work on a client system and set the patterns everyone else builds against. These screens are used all day by people measured on speed, so the bar is fitness for purpose rather than novelty.
What you will do
- Own the front end architecture for an engagement: state, routing, data fetching and the component layer.
- Set the patterns and review the work built on them.
- Work directly with design on flows that have to survive real volume and real edge cases.
- Keep performance and accessibility from drifting as the system grows.
What you will bring
- Several years building production interfaces in a modern framework.
- Experience deciding structure, not only implementing it.
- Practical accessibility knowledge, keyboard and screen reader included.
- Patience with browser and device behaviour on the hardware clients actually use.
What we offer
- Ownership of real systems from the first architecture session through to live operation, rather than a slice of someone else's design.
- Direct contact with the people using what you build, with no account layer in between.
- Work delivered in two to four week increments, demonstrated and accepted before the next one starts.
- More than twenty production engines underneath the client systems, so the same problem is rarely solved twice.
We consider every applicant on what they have built and how they work. Tell us about your experience in your own words, and we will come back to you either way.
