Who we are

idataraya is a Malaysian software company. We design, build and then operate the systems our clients run their organisations on, across payments, healthcare, retail, property and the public sector.

The engineers who design and build a system are the ones who keep it running afterwards. That is the shape of the whole company, and it is why the roles here look the way they do.

The team

Delivery. Scope, requirements, and the cadence that gets each increment accepted.

About the role

You sit between the client and the delivery team: requirements, process mapping and acceptance. When the requirement is wrong the build is wrong, so this matters more than it sounds.

What you will do

  • Run requirement sessions, and write up what was actually agreed.
  • Map the client's current process and the one the system implies.
  • Turn that into work the delivery team can estimate.
  • Run acceptance with the client at the end of each increment.

What you will bring

  • Business analysis experience on software delivery.
  • Writing precise enough to build from.
  • Willingness to ask the awkward question in the room.
  • Enough technical understanding to know what is expensive.

What we offer

  • Ownership of real systems from the first architecture session through to live operation, rather than a slice of someone else's design.
  • Direct contact with the people using what you build, with no account layer in between.
  • Work delivered in two to four week increments, demonstrated and accepted before the next one starts.
  • More than twenty production engines underneath the client systems, so the same problem is rarely solved twice.

We consider every applicant on what they have built and how they work. Tell us about your experience in your own words, and we will come back to you either way.
