Who we are

idataraya is a Malaysian software company. We design, build and then operate the systems our clients run their organisations on, across payments, healthcare, retail, property and the public sector.

The engineers who design and build a system are the ones who keep it running afterwards. That is the shape of the whole company, and it is why the roles here look the way they do.

The team

Data and AI. Pipelines, warehousing, reporting, and models that go into production.

About the role

You build the dashboards clients make decisions from, and explain what the numbers actually mean. The audience is operational management, not analysts.

What you will do

  • Build reports and dashboards against the modelled data.
  • Sit with client teams to work out the question behind the request.
  • Keep definitions consistent so two reports never disagree.
  • Train the client's people to use what you built.

What you will bring

  • Experience with a business intelligence tool, and strong SQL.
  • The ability to explain a chart to someone who did not want a chart.
  • Judgement about what to leave off a dashboard.
  • Patience with the messiness of real operational data.

What we offer

  • Ownership of real systems from the first architecture session through to live operation, rather than a slice of someone else's design.
  • Direct contact with the people using what you build, with no account layer in between.
  • Work delivered in two to four week increments, demonstrated and accepted before the next one starts.
  • More than twenty production engines underneath the client systems, so the same problem is rarely solved twice.

We consider every applicant on what they have built and how they work. Tell us about your experience in your own words, and we will come back to you either way.
