Compensation.

Base salary benchmarked against comparable engineering roles in the Kuala Lumpur technology sector. Reviewed annually against market movement and individual performance.

Base salary

Market-rate base compensation, benchmarked quarterly against a reference sample of Kuala Lumpur technology employers. Placement within the target band is determined by assessed level at time of offer.

Annual review

Compensation is reviewed every April. Adjustments reflect both performance and market movement. No individual review negotiation cycles outside this window.

Statutory contributions

EPF and SOCSO at standard employer contribution rates. No reduction to minimum thresholds.

Offer parity

Offers within the same assessed level are identical. No differential applied by negotiation outcome.

Medical and wellbeing.

Comprehensive coverage applied to employees and their dependants. Active from the first day of employment.

Medical coverage

Outpatient and inpatient coverage for employees and registered dependants. General practitioner visits, specialist referrals, and hospitalisation are included. Panel clinic network covers the Klang Valley and major regional centres.

Dental and optical

Dental coverage includes routine examinations and standard treatment. Optical coverage includes annual examinations and prescription eyewear allowance. Both benefits refresh annually.

Mental health support

Access to confidential counselling services. Booking is direct between the employee and service provider, with no manager notification or approval required.

Dependant coverage

Medical benefits extend to spouses and registered dependants. Registration is administered at onboarding and updated through people operations at any time during employment.

Learning and development.

Structured support for continuous development. Applied without hierarchical approval friction.

Annual learning allowance

An allocated learning allowance of RM 3,000 per engineer per year. Applicable to courses, conferences, books, certifications, and subscription tools supporting technical development.

Conference leave

Time spent attending approved conferences and professional events is treated as working time. Annual leave is not consumed for attendance.

Internal engineering talks

A recurring internal forum for engineers to present technical work, lessons from incidents, or research findings. Presentations are informal and do not require pre-approved materials.

Reading and research time

Formal allocation of time during sprints for reading research material or exploring technologies relevant to active engagements. Applied on a per-sprint basis at team discretion.

Work and life.

Flexibility applied within a structured set of collaboration norms. Outcomes are the measure of performance.

Flexible hours

Core collaboration hours are 10:00 to 16:00. Outside this window, engineers manage their own schedule. Performance is evaluated against delivered outcomes, not presence or clock hours.

Location flexibility

Work from the Kuala Lumpur office, remotely from home, or a combination. The organisation operates async-first through Slack, GitHub, and Notion. On-site presence is required for client installation and incident response.

Equipment provision

MacBook Pro, external display, and peripherals as required. Hardware is refreshed on a two-year cycle. Specialist equipment for hardware engineers is approved case by case.

Annual leave

Annual leave entitlement allocated in full from day one of employment. No accrual-based availability. Public holidays observed per the Malaysian Labour Act.
