The team
Cloud and infrastructure. Architecture, security, and the day-to-day operation of live systems.
About the role
You keep live systems up: monitoring, incident response, and fixing causes rather than symptoms. Because we built these systems, the fix is usually available to us.
What you will do
- Own monitoring, alerting and the runbooks behind them.
- Lead incident response, and write the follow-up honestly.
- Drive fixes for recurring causes back into the product.
- Set and track service levels with the delivery teams.
What you will bring
- Experience operating production systems under real load.
- Debugging skill across application, network and database.
- Composure during an incident and rigour after one.
- The belief that a repeated incident is a defect, not bad luck.
